Karl Magee is a photographer based in Dublin, Ireland whose work seeks to uncover present-day ephemerality, abstraction, and fading confluences of colour, texture, and movement in dynamic new ways. This evolving collection of work has been featured in publications such as ID Magazine, Schön Magazine, and Resident Advisor.
The story of photography for Karl has been about capturing the world and its transience in a most immediate and honest fashion. This began many years ago with reflections of nostalgia and a search for the next fleeting moment. Now more than ever, this search has shown the weight of time and the emotion it can instill in an image. In this way, Karl aims to explore scenes filled with depth and feeling, allowing viewers to connect personally and recount their own memories.
